I just saw a post which essentially talked about how sad it is that queers are disappearing from social media platforms, and I really had to work to stop myself from quoting it and saying something to the effect: "Oh you’re sad about queers disappearing from what were supposed to be safe spaces? Where were you when it started happening to Jews? Because it started and it’s still ongoing and none of you motherfuckers can be bothered to blink." Or something like: "From the What Starts With The Jews Doesn’t End With The Jews Dept.". I mean, I’d be a lot more simpathetic to the plight of the poster and their community if I hadn’t watched said community help the rest of the left drive Jews out of every space they could over the last three years. But then, we’re hours into Rosh Chodesh Elul, so I refrained. Something something little indignities something something.
