The media packages it in headlines & clickbait to sell ads & subscriptions.

Politicians package it in stump speeches & hearings to get donations & votes.

Please consider that in your analysis as both these entities condemn FB for "profiting off outrage"

Wishing person X is raped in prison or hell as punishment for deed Y really means that you think rape is acceptable as long as someone deserves it.

In this case, the problem is not person X, the problem is you. You are a bad human being.
