@adam The trick is finding a device that will give you your stats in an accessible format, either as part of an app, as part of an export to an app like Fitbit/Google Fit, or audibly from the device. And this is where things can get expensive. An alternative though is to do laps around your traylor if outside isn't an option for whatever reason. And start a workout on your fitness watch thingy of choice.

I have a QFeed license I should install that. I tried Tweesecake's RSS session but it really doesn't like it if you have a lot of feeds, which I do. Thanks for reminding me about QFeed though.

I wonder if Robocopy will still work on modern Windows. I used to love using that thing.

@serge I don't know if this is the actual consensus, but I definitely was not a fan of that doctor. Mostly because I'm a huge Data/Jordy fan and she treated Data like trash.

@munchkinbear This is true, but the social media version of this warning has a particular context, namely that at some point in the somewhat recent past, regular users got the idea that social media direct messages were encrypted, both on Facebook and Twitter. And given the migration from Twitter to Mastodon specifically this supposition carries over. Also, while email isn't encrypted, in the US at least people still have a legally backed reasonable expectation of privacy. This isn't the case with social media.

I'm glad they've put this there honestly because "Mastodon posts are not encrypted" is absolutely not obvious to anyone other than admins and others who have a technical grasp of how Mastodon itself works.
