Yeah I wonder the same thing, because we do. But apparently they will eat just about anything. They apparently especially like sweat-stained cloth, which we don't have in the kitchen. Also carpet, which we also don't have. Yes I've googled the crap out of crickets.

Yeah it's chirping now. It'll do that until about 5 in the morning, and it starts about now. Admittedly he's not as loud as he probably could be.

I think at this point the Facebook Mobile site is busted, at least if you're using anything other than Chrome. And even with Chrome it's busted in some very unpredictable ways so you end up with the choice of use the apps which are trashfires or use the main site which is an even bigger trashfire.
