@Tonytypesalot I would love a self-driving vehicle. If for no other reason than it would lift restrictions on where I can live. But we're just not anywhere close to that being a reality yet, even if we're making giant leaps.

@NicksWorld Seconding Bruce on awesome not being the first word choice, but it got me my start on fixing computer and assistive tech and accessibility things, because I needed the stuff to work and a lot of the time I was there after hours. So off to the Net it was to find stuff to read to learn about stuff.

@NicksWorld I didn't own one, but there was one in the assistive tech room in my college's library, and I spent hours and hours there scanning books.

Bruce and friends probably have some true war stories. I was at the tale end of that era.

Yes this was definitely a thing, and, if the OCR was too garbled the first time, you had to scan the page again. Worked best if you could cannibalize the book, and text using fancy fonts was the no-go zone.

Yeah same. Glad you're getting Bookshare though, I use it all the time and I'm definitely grateful it's no longar scan and correct all the books using a Reading Edge.
