Speaking of ableism, a number of the people responding with "You can’t make me!" responses are also the same people who object to pronouns in bios and generally get bent out of shape when words are misused/change meanings only to then insist that their objections are about misuse or overuse of words and not bigotry. That’s fine if it’s truly the reason for your objection, there are people who object on purely linguistic/grammatical grounds. But it’s impossible to take that insistence seriously when there’s a glaring exception to all that being made in real time when it comes to braille.

And I will remind as many of them as possible that they built this, they’ve thrown two decades of data privacy advocacy and policy into chaos, and I’m fine with their having to reap the benefits of the consequences they set into motion.
