@SingingNala @objectinspace @changeling And yeah, we have to tell people sometimes that, based on either budgetary constraints or staffing resources, this thing you want can't be done. Now if you want this to go way over budget, sure we'll gladly create you a custom accessible thingy that does exactly what you want it to do.

@objectinspace @changeling @SingingNala I totally get trying to find ways to solve a problem, what I'm objecting to is the demand for features, especially expensive ones, without any consideration of why they might not have been done. It's the it's-so-easy-why-hasn't-this-been-done-yet from people who have no idea about how any of this works that burns me.

@objectinspace @changeling @SingingNala Yeah the privacy stuff to. And you have to know what the obstacles are so you can work around them, either with lots of money to pay for servers and people to do the work, or possibly really idealistic software contributors who you can hopefully convince to take on a huge task like that for a very long time with no compensation.
