You might be able to accomplish what you need to with the Posts 2 Posts plugin. It allows you to manage many-to-many relationships between types/taxonomies.

A post can have multiple taxonomies, but not multiple types. Is there any way your custom post type could be registered as a custom taxonomy instead? Or is it an already-existing type?

Na they're just droplets. You can get phpmyadmin if you install manually but I don't have it installed because normally I don't use it.

I don't think so, unless I can somehow get the db out of a VPS backup from Digital Ocean. This all started with a screwed up fail2ban config which means I can't connect to the server via SFTP or SSH, and then DO's online consul being inaccessible to screen readers while connecting to the box just fine.
