@jamminjerry @JustinMac84 @payown Yeah these would have to be *incredibly useful glasses/service for me to consider paying that much. Spicy autocomplete plus a little image recognition just isn't good enough.

@payown @jamminjerry I'm wondering if most of it actually goes to a service they're trying to sustain? If that's the case this is done before it gets off the ground.

@jamminjerry @JustinMac84 I'd have to say you're leasing the glasses then, and as long as they're up front about that then that would be fine I suppose. But I have a sneaking suspicion that they're not being up front about that.

@payown @JustinMac84 I don't know "affordable" is doing a ton of heavy lifting here. Do you pay that until you get to the regular price and then they're yours outright plus fees for the service? Or do you just pay $150 for as long as you have the glasses?

@jscholes @FreakyFwoof @MoonCat And as far as your question "who else?" is concerned: Are you really going to tell me that all the inspiration prostitutes out there (looking at you Michael Hingson) really aren't making any difference at all? Because all the people claiming unawareness have computers in their pocket and by this point should at least be aware that people with disabilities do all sorts of things.
