@objectinspace @weirdwriter @tristan Nobody was asking for that. Anyone who needs it already has an IDE or text editor that runs circles around Notepad already installed and we use Notepad for, well, just plain notes.

@aardrian @patrick_h_lauke I'm trying to decide if I want to comment on this. I appreciate the concern about accessibility, but there's a "nothing-about-us-without-us" vibe going on here and I don't like it.

@aardrian If your modal changes the URL in the address bar I'm closing the tab. This does not apply to simply changing state.

@Imoptimal @weirdwriter I don't use it either, except for stuff that needs to connect to its APIs from self-hosted sites. However, I think it's fine for people who want someone else to manage their stuff and do not want to mess around with software and servers. Self-hosting isn't for everybody, and that's fine.

@chris @daljo628 @jan This entire thread. I noticed the vibe at WCUS in Nashville and was disappointed, but also completely prepared to start identifying as a fucking problem if the people bringing that vibe with them start causing trouble for other members of our community with diverse backgrounds/characteristics. And yes that includes the trans members and the neurodivergent members.
