I mean I felt my watch buzzing and knew there was a call, thought to myself "I'll deal with it lat er", and went back to sleep. YOu going to be around tomorrow afternoon around 3 or so? I think I'll have some time then.

@aurooba Yeah that two. I know at least one couple that decided "If it ain't broke don't fix it" and haven't gotten married despite being together for something like 25 years now.

I know several people who didn't change their last names when getting married. I also know a few where the male partner took on the woman's last name. Never assume.

@jmb When I converted, one of the members of our synagogue owned a house on the river so we used that for the mikvah. Thank God it was during the summer.

Not happening any time soon. Mostly because (a) who's gonna run the seedbox, (b) who's going to prevent the company/coop/group in charge of the seedbox from enshitifying the whole thing to make a profit, and (c) micropayments are still a pipe dream for various reasons.
