I'm glad to hear Callisto was such a trooper.

And also, unless you have tons of time on your hands to spend messing around with non-abusive company offerings that really can be quite bad in the UX department, especially if you need accessibility, then using the abusive company products is quite literally all you've got. This aspect of it all isn't talked about nearly enough by the people who get up on their soap boxes and yell at the people who still use the tech provided by the abusive companies.

@VE3RWJ I think so, with your clarification. And yes I would agree when it comes to that particular subset of cult-followers. I just don't think that subset is as large as it thinks it is, although it is very loud and very obnoxious.

@VE3RWJ I think one or more of us would have been murdered if that hot mic moment had happened. On the other hand, the idea of this is way more amusing than it should be.

I would say, however, that while Stallman is quite literally the father of free software, his views aren't indicative of most of the people who actually work on and advocate free software.

Finally, none of this is to say that I don't have my own issues specifically with contributing to free software projects.
