@calispera Of course there's a nuanced conversation to have about Gaza: Whether or not Israel is doing its best to avoid as many civilian casualties as it can without compromising its objectives, the world preventing voluntary emigration from Gaza, ETC. But the kind of people who would shun code contributions because of what's in someone's bio somewhere, after having spent decades of accepting code no matter where it comes from regardless of someone's views, are not the kind of people interested in any sort of nuanced discussion. 👁

@calispera I think another account can work, until someone inevitably links the two accounts as people out for blood often do. I think if you can manage it, take the position that if they have enough of a problem with what's in your bio that they refuse to accept your contributions then their project isn't worth your contributions. 👁

I think there's a point where self-host all the things breaks down. Specifically when there's either a knowledge gap or time availability issue that is so significant that overcoming it would cause issues in other parts of life, and this is different for different people. But if you can, and there's not a ton of friction that you're unable to deal with, self-hosting is the way to go.
