One thing that #bluesky has made very obvious is how easy it is to abuse the "quote post" system, especially since the developers didn't think to implement any moderation tools before opening it up to people. I can understand why Masto devs are so reluctant to implement this now.

We’re at the “first they came for the transgender people, but I wasn’t transgender so…” stage of fascism.
