Let's be honest here: a lot of people rallying behind Kyle Rittenhouse don't care if it was genuinely self defense or not. He shot the kind of person they think deserves it, and that's enough for them.

It's OK, even praiseworthy, to cancel the fuck out of elected officials who want to burn books.

I will not submit to this fascist state that’s trying to save my life or the life of my neighbors. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m due at the bookburning.

It was five minutes ago we were being reassured no one was talking about banning or burning books. https://t.co/BmfLnwH0Jy

I deeply distrust anyone willing to defend Rittenhouse's choices as morally correct. The trial will decide if they were legal, and that's none of my damned business. But there is a wide gulf between "legal" and "moral." His actions were immoral, no matter the result of the trial.

It's quickly becoming the norm that angering the cult results in death threats and it doesn't seem like any law enforcement is particularly interested in making someone an example to cool it down. https://t.co/sVQCaZa8DE

Regardless of any issue you have with any book ever, anybody who wants to burn books is a piece of shit and should not be allowed anywhere near schools, children or other living things. https://t.co/6PqroBcJR3

(Trump supporters really seem to struggle with the idea that people who voted for Joe Biden are not necessarily *fans* of Joe Biden. Unlike them, I make a point of not worshipping politicians.)

But the real problem is "stupid wokeness". Never mind the relentless attacks on our democracy and efforts to ensure white-minority rule in the coming years and decades. https://t.co/MdoY3VOZcr

This is not a graph of "crime perceptions differ by party"; it's a graph of "Republican perceptions change overnight based on party of president while Dem perceptions stay the same." https://t.co/sDwLA57N8Y

I haven’t followed the Rittenhouse trial in minute detail, but I believe it remains the case that he traveled across state lines with an assault rifle to oppose a protest in a community where he did not live and ended up shooting a bunch of people there and killing two of them.

Today he's a critic, but tomorrow -- if expedient -- he will be a sycophant. CNN is credulous. https://t.co/ZhGZW2qRPg

So does this mean you’ll support criminal justice reform and reign in conservative tough on crime politicians and prosecutors? https://t.co/br1IyJwlfl

Statistically, 40% of the officers wearing this useless fucking ribbon go home and beat their family. Which is about four times higher than typical.

I don’t want to hear another goddamn word about virtue signaling. https://t.co/JikZrwcRLH

it's amazing that people don't understand (or choose not to understand) that talking to reporters puts you on the record by default, and anything other than that must be an agreement between both parties. https://t.co/rESkBlizFA
