@serge Announcing their departure only has a benefit when they have to endure the possible shaming/shunning that comes with it. This is the fediverse, so we know none of that is even close to happening at this point. That said, if it makes you feel better, go for it.

@tjcasser You're a nicer person than me because I didn't announce I'm just unfollowing them at this point. Same goes if your postings are along the lines of "This is wrong and everything, but Gaza" or something. If you're calling the shooter a hero it's an instant and irrevocable block.
