@gocu54 @vol4life8657 Keep in mind that Nick is probably in his twenties and bless his little heart doesn't have a frame of reference for things like VCRs and VHS tapes and records and those tape-rewinding machines we all had for when you needed to return the video to the video rental place.

@gocu54 @vol4life8657 Yeah I hate them too, but brains need a way to organize things and people and unfortunately the most efficient way to do that is to apply a label. I think the real problem is when labels become boxes.

@vol4life8657 @Bruce_Toews OK so I think the rest of you in this threadlet are conservatives, (Bruce, Nick, and Darrell), and I'm a liberal who agrees with the left on some things but not everything, and yeah there's a whole lot of crazy that goes on on Mastodon specifically.

@gocu54 @Bruce_Toews Oh yes not disagreeing with his general point. I guess I just wanted to put in that it's not just conservatives and that there are a few reasons for it.
