I was wondering why people on my live kept asking about Auto GPT. Apparently they were talking about it on The All In Podcast and one of them claimed it’d replace the need for technical skills in cybersecurity.

Luckily I wasn’t aware of that at the time because I would have given my take on how I’m convinced that everyone on the All-In podcast shares a single brain cell, which would have angered half of TikTok.

A Firehose of Insanity and The Republican Cycle of Radicalization by Teri KanefieldTeri Kanefield

There was an explosion of news this week with a theme: The increasing radicalization of the Republican Party. First, we have the abortion pill mifepristone debacle in which a federal judge in Texas attempted to outlaw mifepristone for the entire nation. Here’s the timeline (I find that a bullet point timeline is the best tool …

BRB, working on ideas for Narnia Porn (the next New Management book will take a fire axe to C. S. Lewis).

Also working out the life cycle of Resurrection Beasts like Aslan. Don’t let him molt out of his lion instar and enter the final fertile phase of his life cycle! After he mates with Tash the Inexorable and she eats his head, she’ll lay a clutch of god-eggs. Sorry, Republican men. You made the rules.

Setting up a new #WordPress blog to be an archive of all of my tweets (since I shut down my #Twitter account a few months ago). Found the WP-CLI command line interface for WordPress and the twitter-archive-to-wp plug-in that allows me to do this far easier and faster than I’d have been able to do it manually. This is pretty nifty. (Also fun to watch when using a retro terminal emulator.)

@jeffjarvis Not that I know of, but there should be. Ghost is very much an alternative to Substack (a better one IMO). Much better web support. Super intuitive, Medium-like authoring interface. You get a ton from Ghost out of the box. And Ghost is a mission-driven nonprofit run by a foundation. It’s also cheaper, though not free. If you have a paid newsletter on Substack, you really ought to look at Ghost.
