Y’all, DeSantis labeling Mr. Perry a good samaritan is peak 2023 Republicanism.

Using the parable of the good Samaritan, Mr. Neely would have been offered help such as food and shelter by Mr. Perry, not choked to death for 15 minutes.

Good Samaritans HELP people. The “good guy with a gun” (or chokehold?) is not a good samaritan, because they aren’t helping someone in distress. They may be some other cultural hero archetype, but they sure as fuck aren’t samaritans.

Specifically, what convinced the organization’s leadership that such a badly behaved player in the accessibility space has really turned over a new leaf?
