If many Jews you know are a little bummed today, it’s not because they’re big Republicans or love Trump. It’s because we see too many people who excused and even celebrated our death gain power, backed by mainstream institutions. Are they going to put us on trains? Hell no. Are they fueling violent hatred and spreading populist lies about us? Yes, and history shows that never works out well for ANYONE. The good news is, Jews wake up this morning and continue to be Jews. Most of us don’t have the luxury to “rethink” our identity when it’s unpopular, or ride the tides of antisemitism when it suits us (looking at you, Lander). A few will, hell, maybe many. But there has never EVER been a politician or leader in history who has changed who we are as a people – and G-d knows many have tried.

Jordan should be given a choice. Take the people back that were once Jordanian citizens until 1988 and keep the water, or don’t take them and the water stops. If Jordan wants the water to keep flowing, it accepts the people it once claimed as its own citizens and moves them inside its own borders. Immediately. If it refuses, the water stops, and the rest of the Arab world can figure it out and pay for it all. The idea that anyone is shutting down any criticism of Israel is totally absurd on its face. Israel receives more criticism in the US than any country on earth, and some of it is, in fact, antisemitic.
