@acarson For a small subset of things, yes. When my favorite album dropped off of Spotify/AM/etc a couple of years ago though the only way I was finally able to get it back was asking Jenny Wong to buy the CD (found it at a place only in UK) and rip it for me. That’s just not sustainable. I actually tried with a selection of my 10 most listened to albums… I could only buy 2 today :/ @shawnhooper

@chris @acarson I still have my DJ music library. As long as I keep my license up, and have access to those music pools. Great for singles and remixes but not for full albums.
I’ve been listening to more playlists and live sets on SoundCloud too.
Switching podcast listening to another app with archives downloaded at home on Audiobookshelf.
@outofcontrol iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp were the 3 I tried for buying music outright but they’re just missing too much of what I do listen to

@shawnhooper I use Apple Podcasts but as I move to Linux that will have to be another consideration. Used to use Pocketcasts but I would rather not support Automattic either. @acarson
