@dnikub By "bespoke websites", do you also mean the drag-'n-drop creations currently flooding the web? Because if not we need to make sure that's added to this because honestly it's where a metric ton of the problems come from. And this may be a market failure, but all of these solutions have arisen because businessowners demanded them and they don't want the limitations that an accessible out of box platform would necessarily have to place on websites.

    I was thinking more custom than that, where they pay someone to make a site.

    While I’m sure it’s common to pay someone to make sites on platforms like Wix and Squarespace, I think of those as more do-it-yourself.

    Because “accessible” isn’t currently on most business owners’ list of requirements (to go along with “affordable,” “simple to use,” “looks good”), they probably wouldn’t go for a platform that had the constraints necessary to keep it accessible without expertise.
