you call it a hack. I call it something that like everything else has the ability for good and evil just like us humans do. yes a human could maybe give a better description but when a sighted human may not know what we find important. AI at least tells us what the thing looks like.
hell I’ve seen someone’s alt text literally say an image of a wolf. ok there’s the letter of the thing but.
what color wolf where is the wolf.
AI would give me a better description then.

and as I said some sighted people can’t give alt text for what ever reason. a good friend of mine was like here this is what it looks like the app I use is buggy when it comes to alt text.
