The New York Times published its new state polls from Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina which have Donald Trump ahead 5, 4, and 2 points respectively. Hugh opens the podcast talking about that and interviews Vic Matus, Bethany Mandel, and Jim Geraghty about those numbers and Kamala’s Oprah fiasco, as well as Senate candidates Mike Rogers (MI) and Dave McCormick (PA) before talking with Ned Ryun about his new book American Leviathan.

North Dakota Doug Burgum joined Hugh this AM. Burgum is in Israel and of course the governor and Hugh discussed exploding Hezbollah pagers and American support for Israel before turning to the issue of U.S. domestic energy and the crazy maze of federal agencies that impede domestic energy production. Plus, Congressman Mike Waltz who is a member of the select committee on the attempted assassination of former President Trump, Mary Katharine Ham on VP Harris’s word salad before the NABJ, Akash Chougule of AFP on VP Harris crazy ideas on price controls on child care, and Politico’s Olivia Beavers on the House’s plan on keeping the government open.
