“The delegation of activists belongs to “Uncommitted,” the movement that calls for an end to the Biden administration’s support for Israel’s military campaign in Gaza.”
@SteveThompson@Properganda I think this, coupled with the reception of the Polins, is a good start. But I also don’t blame anyone who doesn’t trust the democratic party after the last 8 months, even if at the same time they realize that Trump would be worse in a lot of ways. Democratic leadership, including Harris, has up until this point treated pro-Hamas protesters with kid gloves by sending them mixed signals. That’s something that never should have happened, along with and separately from the constant telegraphing to Hamas itself. That can’t be fixed in a couple days.
She put her foot down tonight. Almost saved the best for last. She can’t take back what she said and from the adamant tone of her delivery, I am comfortable believing she settled any concerns of mine.
@SteveThompson@Properganda I haven’t watched the speech yet, and I’m not saying you’re wrong either. I’m just saying that it’s entirely understandable that some people are wary of the democrats, including Harris. That can change, provided she sticks to the new script. But I don’t think it’s unfair for anyone to take a wait-and-see approach either.
@acarson @Properganda Thanks for that!

Keeping in mind, she is a politician.
