I mean, to be clear, the very first thing that Harris and Walz did was go to Pennsylvania and heap praise on Shapiro while he quoted Pirkei Avot.
I guess I’m saying that while it initially looked to have been (at a minimum) something the bigots could claim victory on, if not something they helped cause, literally everything that followed has been a very clear rebuttal.
No, I wouldn’t for Trump, but that’s because (1) Trump wouldn’t be there crediting the targeted Jew like they did, (2) Trump has a long history of antisemitism that Harris simply doesn’t have, (3) I struggle to imagine a surrogate who has held the GOP to account for Republican antisemitism the way that Goldman has with Democrats.
There really isn’t a reasonable analog between the two…
