@nevo @dukepaaron @littlemiao I also would really appreciate Conservadox making a comeback. I converted at the tail-end of it and honestly I've missed it ever since.

Where my grandparents lived there were two shuls originally – one Conservadox and one Reform. I am Conservadox in most areas, except for the ban on music in prayer services. Obviously I support women in all roles.
The Conservative shul where I am now isn’t really conservadox. I’d say they’re closer to reform in a lot of ways. I can count the households who have reasonably kosher kitchens on my fingers. I was constantly “fighting” with people who wanted to have events. And of course, the Temple kitchen isn’t kosher at all. The chabad guy here is obnoxious in every way, so he isn’t endearing anyone to being more observant. There are no kosher restaurants at all, nor a kosher market. You can get a few kosher meat items at Trader Joe’s. And all that’s just kashrut issues. There’s no dayschool, no JCC, no miqvah…this community just isn’t willing to do what it takes. Money is not a real issue. The “old guard” and “sorority ladies” are all quite wealthy.
