@AlliFlowers @Bam @judah Just to add to this thread, I completely understand where dukepaaron is coming from with regard to Twitter, and I also completely understand everyone who left because Elon and the people he platforms. I left for the same reasons. Well, that, and he fired the entire accessibility team. I also agree with dukepaaron that the fediverse is absolute hot garbage when it comes to antisemitism, and the constant need to block, especially people who used to be awesome until they took the damn mask off, has me feeling all kinds of not pleasant feelings. Fortunately there's bird.makeup, which lets us bring over the Twitter accounts we used to love to read, and while we can't do a massive Jewport with it, we can use it to make our home timelines a bit more bearable. With all of that said though, the fediverse is my last social media stop. If things get to a point where they're intolerable here despite mitigation steps, I'm out.
