Not that abortion is a form of birth control or anything, but it's absolutely permitted under even the strictest interpretations of Jewish law and in some cases recommended and in still rarer cases required because mother's life takes precedence There was a statement from the Orthodox Union after the Dobs decision about how they couldn't support a ban over this.
