The right isn't showing and has never shown solidarity, at least not at scale. What they're doing is conducting a transaction as long as it's in their interest to do so. That breaks down as soon as they can't find anything in it for them. See, for example, the shenanigans from house Republicans converning the border/aid bill and then the subsequent attempt to save face with a separate aid for Israel bill which they knew would never pass. I think it's time for American Jews to stop pretending things are anything other than transactional when it comes to both the right and left. No more respectability politics.
