@objectinspace @matt They're happy because they figure you'll do the work and they can deny the pull requests and nothing gets done while they can say "See? We care about accessibility we let the community submit fixes" God I hate open source so much sometimes.
@acarson @tristan @objectinspace @matt yeah it makes me wonder if the “good faith” nature of open source can be then used to weaponize it against the people it is meant to help benefit, in that then accessibility problems created by past contributors or decision-makers of that project create burdens and hardships for others to clean up, if the project maintainers had an oversight of it from the start themselves. Puts quite some irony in “open”
@Tamasg @tristan @objectinspace @matt Why should you actually fix it when the four freedoms can become the four responsibilities for a statistically insignificant subset of your users? And by “subset of users” I mean the users who will actually speak up about accessibility of FLOSS, which isn’t that many.
