@alastc @SteveFaulkner The problem I see is that, even reading this in the most charitable way possible, an accessibility veteran going in to fix something t hat is fundamentally broken is something like deploying hope as a strategy. Which it's not.

Rebellions are built on hope.
But I don’t see it that way anyway, more like, respectful benefit of the doubt. I’m just keeping an open mind.
Because what’s the ideal end-game here — that there’s no such thing as overlays, or that overlays actually work and help people? I would vote for the latter.
