I think for managed hosting, WPEngine or Pagely are better than the traditional hosts who have decided to get into managed hosting. Of those two, WPEngine tends to not accommodate things like Python clients and indieweb stuff very well at all, specifically indieauth and micropub, both of which require API endpoints. +
