@justicesandwich @Coffeechai I honestly don't get it. I get simpathizing with the Palestinian cause, and I get even being angry specifically at Israel's political and military leaders if you think they're not doing enough to safeguard civilion lives as they attempt to eliminate Hamas/make them militarily impotent. But what exactly is the problem with displays of pictures of hostages abducted by Hamas?
@arush @justicesandwich @Coffeechai The problem are people who think that it’s a zero-sum game – that if you sympathize with one side, you can’t have any sympathy for the other.
Which is bullshit, bluntly.
You can feel sorry for the Palestinian civilians caught in the crossfire, while recognizing that Hamas broke a ceasefire and kidnapped people. You can be pro-Israel, and be upset at the sheer number of wounded in Gaza.
BUT, as I’ve said multiple times before – humans suck at numbers, and we suck in general at being ‘reasonable’ most of the time, when everything pushes us towards extremes of position.

You have stated it very well.
Understanding the full equations allow us to empathize to our fullest.
My heart breaks with every conflict anywhere, especially those born into it without a choice.
Again thank you.
Perhaps together we can all take this opportunity to try again to listen and talk to each other.
I say most sincerely that I could have done better as well. ☮️

Or maybe we should take rumors on social media with a big grain of salt. Because one person resigning over something like this can easily happen, but al employees resign en masse, usually the story is a little deeper than what the employer is telling us.
