You wanting to keep YOUR child from reading a book with a gay main character doesn’t mean you get to decide if MY child can. Your desire to keep YOUR child from learning ACCURATE black history doesn’t mean MY child doesn’t get to. And just because YOU’RE offended by Michelangelo‘s work, doesn’t mean MY child shouldn’t see it. Crying “parents rights” doesn’t mean YOU have the right to parent MY kid. Or ANYONE else’s.
