the conservative "now we'll support families" is so laughable. they've had decades to pass anything - anything! - that would help families. decades to reform adoption. instead they couldn't even support child tax credits. laughable and contemptible. part of me wants to laugh but mostly it's just anger. we've got these goons showing up with signs "we'll adopt your baby" - motherfucker, there's 400,000 fucking kids in foster care right now. 120,000 more waiting to be adopted. you don't have to wait but you know that. the fucking balls it takes to not give a penny to needy families, to gleefully cut WIC at every step, and then after your clown court kills roe to look at a camera and go "okay now it's time to help kids". go fuck yourselves. ....
